What I’m Buying from the Spring 2019 Sephora VIB Sale

Hello everyone! I am coming back to blogging.

This year at the Sephora sale, I am focusing on items that usually do not go on sale at other times of the year, or restocking items I consistently use. Those are usually the main reasons I buy what I do during sale time.

This year, I also went into the store, so that I could touch and feel and swatch what I was thinking of purchasing. I’m glad I did that, because I changed my mind of some of the things I wanted to purchase.

Here is what I have purchased and what I currently have in my cart, thinking about purchasing before the sale ends:

I purchased the Pat McGrath Mothership V (Bronze Seduction) palette that I have been eyeing for some time. It is stunningly beautiful and swatching it in person made up my mind for me. Here is a picture of a look I created with it. Click on the right arrow to see a photo of the palette itself:

The next thing I purchased is the new Laneige lip glowy balm. I love, love, love their lip sleeping mask. But it comes in a tub, which means either using a brush or sticking your finger in there. I am so glad they came out with a tube. The formula is very similar, smooth, shiny, and hydrating. I got the Berry one, but I am sure they are all great. I also got the Natasha Denona duo chrome top coat in brown mauve/purple. It is such an interesting and beautiful color shift. I haven’t tried it yet, other than to swatch it in the store, but I will be sure to update this when I do. I repurchased a moisturizer that I love by Biossance. It’s their Squalane and Omega Repair Cream. I have extremely dry skin and this works well for me. I think it is a little heavy for people with more oily skin, but they make a gel version that might be better for oily skin people. I bought another shade of the Sephora brand cream lip stain liquid lipsticks. I got the new shade 83 – Cinder Rose. These cream lip stains are great. They are not as drying as many liquid lipstick formulas and they come in over 90 shades!! I highly recommend trying them out, either during the sale, or when you need a new color to try. Because they are so affordable, I recommend trying some colors you might ordinarily shy away from. Check out the sale on their website or in stores. It is on through May 6th.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics and Manny MUA Collaboration

Jeffree Star Cosmetics and Manny MUA Collaboration

LOVE!

That about sums up how I feel about this collaboration.  Since I have very fair skin, I often have trouble with highlighters being too dark for me and showing up as a colored streak rather than a pretty glow. Many of Jeffree Star’s highlighters are great for me. Eclipse, the new highlighter from the Jeffree and Manny collab is gorgeous! It is a cool champagne color. A cool toned beige with beautiful shimmer.  I adore it, and it is different than any other highlighter I have, which is hard to do at this point!

Jeffree’s velour liquid lipstick formula is definitely one of my favorites. It stays on, doesn’t transfer, and it is not too drying (let’s face it, all liquid lipsticks are drying). I only got one of the colors in this collection, I’m Shook.  I really love the color of Daddy too, but I have so many in this color range that I already skip over, I decided to get out of my comfort zone and try I’m Shook instead.  It was a very surprising mix of a coral and a red that is so beautiful.  I do not have any colors like it and I am really glad I decided to give it a whirl.  If you are debating giving it a try, I suggest you try it! Soooo sooo worth it.

Here is a look with both the Eclipse Highlighter and I’m Shook velour liquid lipstick.
